Costume and Prop Shopping

After starting our work on ‘The Wife of Bath’, we at BardsBarter take a day out in Truro to scour the charity shops for costumes and props. At the end of an afternoon trying on dresses for female characters (to the endless amusement of the ladies working there), its disconcerting to discover how comfortable Nathan is in a dress.

We had an extremely good haul, finding dresses, shawls, slippers, a jacket, a poncho, a scarf and a wig, as well as numerous props. Now we have a chance to try out our ideas with props and costumes, bringing the shows to life.
